Yoga Classes

Our approach

At SuperSoul Yoga Community, we see yoga as more than a physical practice. Our approach is holistic, recognising the connection between body, mind and soul and creating space within each class to nurture all three.

Through breath, movement, reflection, meditation and community, our classes are designed to help you feel stronger and more balanced physically, calmer and clearer mentally, and more connected with yourself and the deeper dimensions of life.

Pranayama: Breath & Mind

Each class begins with pranayama, or conscious breathing practices. By slowing down and becoming more aware of the breath, pranayama can help calm the nervous system, improve concentration, reduce mental agitation and create a greater sense of presence. It also provides a natural transition from the busyness of everyday life into the practice.

Asana: Movement & Body

Our physical yoga practice combines mindful movement, conscious breathing and attention to alignment and safe practice. Through asana, we work to improve strength, mobility, flexibility, balance and body awareness, while also releasing physical tension and encouraging a healthier relationship with the body. Rather than focusing on achieving the “perfect pose”, we encourage students to listen to their bodies and explore the practice at a pace that feels appropriate for them.

Dharma Themes: Reflections for Everyday Life

Every class is guided by a simple Dharma theme: an idea drawn from yoga philosophy that invites reflection both on and off the mat. Themes may explore the yamas and niyamas (yoga's ethical principles) as well as gratitude, self-discipline, purification of habits, the power of chakras, selfless action, and connection with the soul and with the Divine. These themes are shared in a practical and accessible way, encouraging students to consider how ancient yogic wisdom has the potential to support greater awareness, balance and meaning in everyday life.

Meditation & Savasana: Stillness Within

Every class ends with time for relaxation and meditation in Savasana. After conscious breathing and movement, this period of stillness gives the body an opportunity to rest while allowing the mind to settle. Meditation can support greater self-awareness, emotional balance and inner clarity, while creating space to reconnect with ourselves beyond the constant activity of daily life.

Connection Over Chai: The Power of Community

Yoga does not have to end when we roll up the mats. After class, everyone is invited to stay for a complimentary hot drink, light snacks and an informal chat with the community. It is a simple opportunity to slow down, meet new people, build friendships and enjoy a sense of connection, thus nourishing both the belly and the heart.

Our classes

These are our current yoga class offerings:

A Hatha yoga class in progress

Hatha Yoga

Our Hatha Yoga classes combine mindful movement and conscious breathing to build strength, improve flexibility and cultivate greater balance in both body and mind. Classes usually begin with pranayama before moving through a thoughtful sequence of postures focused on breath, alignment, flow and body awareness. Each practice finishes with relaxation and meditation, leaving you feeling grounded, refreshed and centred. Suitable for all levels, including beginners.

Yin Yoga

Our Yin Yoga classes offer an opportunity to slow down, release tension and deeply restore the body. This gentle practice consists primarily of floor-based postures held for longer periods, allowing the body to gradually soften while supporting flexibility, mobility and relaxation. With fewer movements and more time for stillness, Yin Yoga also provides an opportunity to turn your attention inward, calm the mind and reconnect with your breath. Yin Yoga is excellent to support nervous system regulation. Suitable for all levels, including beginners.

Masterclasses & Special Sessions

Alongside our regular classes, we often host masterclasses and special sessions led by experienced guest teachers. These sessions give our community the opportunity to explore different styles and approaches to yoga, including Vinyasa, Restorative Yoga and other complementary practices. Masterclasses are designed to deepen your practice, experience something new and learn from teachers who bring their own expertise and perspective to the community.

Good to know

What to bring

Bring a water bottle and anything else that helps you feel comfortable. Yoga mats, blocks and bolsters are provided, although you're always welcome to bring your own mat or props.

What to wear

Wear comfortable activewear or loose-fitting clothing that allows you to move freely. For Yin Yoga, we recommend bringing an extra layer, as the body can cool down during longer periods of stillness.

When to arrive

Please arrive around 10–15 minutes before class so you have time to check in, settle into the space and prepare for the practice.

After class

You're warmly invited to stay for a complimentary hot drink, light snacks and a relaxed conversation with the community.
